  • ALTERED HAIR CHOLESTEROL METABOLITES IN COGNITIVE IMPAIRMENT Increased levels of hair 7β-hydroxycholesterol was observed in patients with both mild cognitive impairment and Alzheimer’s disease which are also negatively correlated with MMSE scores.   • IS IT POSSIBLE TO ANALYZE STEROID HORMONES IN KOREA? Mass spectrometry-based metabolite profiling makes it possible to quantify 84 steroid hormones in various biological specimens (urine, blood, tissue and hair) to allow “quantitative steroid signatures” and it also helps to explain correlations between enzyme activities.

  • STEROID TODAY 2019 As with previous successful annual meetings in the series, the Steroid Today 2019 will bring together Korean delegates to address state-of-the-art approaches in the molecular basis of steroid hormones.
